Smash Burger Tacos
Ingredients
4 tbsp. mayonnaise
1 tbsp. tomato ketchup
1 tsp. Dijon mustard
1-2 dill pickles, diced
½ tsp. hot sauce
1 lb. (450g) 95% ground beef
1 tsp. sea salt
½ tsp. ground black pepper
4 (6”/15cm) corn tortillas
2 slices cheese, cut in half lengthwise
2.7 oz. (75g) shredded lettuce
1.2 oz. (35g) onions, diced
What You Need To Do
Place the mayonnaise, tomato ketchup, mustard, dill pickles and hot sauce in a small bowl, stir to combine and set aside.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat.
Season the beef with salt and pepper and divide into 4 even-sized portions. Form burgers with your hands, then place on the hot pan and cook for 2 minutes. Place a tortilla on top of each beef burger and press down to flatten the beef into the shape and size of the tortilla.
Cook for a further 2-3 minutes, until the tortilla is golden brown. Flip each patty over and top with cheese. Once the cheese has melted, and the tortilla has lightly browned, top with lettuce and onions.
Drizzle with the sauce, then remove from the skillet and fold in half like a taco. Serve immediately. Enjoy!
